Shipping policy

At SMeter (Pty) Ltd (“SMeter”, “we”, “us”, “our”), we aim to give you peace of mind that your order is on the way and will be delivered under the following conditions and disclosures.
1. Order Processing

Orders are processed within 1 - 3 business days after full payment is received, unless otherwise indicated on the product page.

If you place an order on a weekend, public holiday or after our cut-off time, processing will begin on the next business day.

For manufactured or special-order items (for example goods supplied via our fulfilment partner under our reseller arrangement) additional lead time may apply. In such cases we will advise you at checkout or in your order confirmation.
2. Delivery & Fulfilment

We deliver nationwide in South Africa, using trusted courier partners and/or our fulfilment partner’s logistics network.

Standard delivery time: Typically 2 - 5 business days from dispatch for metropolitan areas. For more remote, outlying or rural locations the delivery time may be longer.

Fulfilment note: Because we operate a reseller-fulfilment model (goods supplied via our authorised partner under agreement), dispatch times may vary. For any items listed as “manufactured on order” or similar, the expected dispatch time will be shown at point of sale.

We will notify you when your order has been dispatched and provide a tracking number via email or SMS.
3. Shipping Fees & Free Delivery Thresholds

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, weight, size, and courier service.

Occasionally, we may offer free shipping on orders above a specified value or promotional threshold. The details of such offers will be clearly shown on-site and at checkout.

If during dispatch a change in shipping cost requirement arises (for example remote area surcharge), we will notify you prior to fulfilment.
4. Tracking & Communication

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number and courier link so you can monitor delivery status.

5. Delays & Exceptions

While we strive to deliver on time, there may be delays outside our control, for example: logistics disruption, courier back‐log, weather extremes, public holidays, remote delivery location, or customs/clearance issues (if applicable).

If a delay of more than 7 business days (after the expected timeframe) occurs, we will proactively notify you, provide revised expectations and discuss options (e.g., refund, exchange, cancellation) where appropriate.
6. Risk, Ownership & Inspection

Goods remain our responsibility until such time as they are delivered to the address you specified and you have accepted them (or the courier has provided proof of delivery).

You should inspect your delivery at the time of receipt. If you notice visible damage or mismatch (wrong product), please note it on the courier’s delivery receipt and contact us immediately for resolution.
7. Returns & Shipping for Faulty/Incorrect Items

If your product arrives incorrect, damaged or defective, we will cover the return shipping cost once the return is authorised by us.

For change-of-mind returns (see our Refund & Returns Policy) or returns outside of fault/mismatch issues, you will be responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated.
8. Customs, Duties & Import Clarifications

All prices shown on our site are in South African Rand (ZAR) and inclusive of applicable VAT (for goods supplied in South Africa).

Because we fulfil goods via our supplier/partner arrangement, some items may be imported or manufactured on demand. Should any specific import duties, delays or compliance requirements apply, we will clearly indicate this at the product listing or checkout.

It is your responsibility to ensure the delivery address is accurate and that you are able to receive delivery; we will not be liable for extra courier costs or re-delivery fees caused by incorrect address details.
9. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our fulfilment model, courier partnerships, shipping costs, or regulatory obligations. The version published on our website at the time of your order is the one that will apply. We encourage you to review this policy before each purchase.
